This is another painting from a sketch done in Co. Donegal in the North West of Ireland. All over Rural Ireland are the remains of derelict homes. Although sometimes haunting and conjure up memories of an old romantic Ireland, they are a testament to a harsh and sometimes meagre existence. I never look at one that I don't see the ghosts of my ancestors.
